Lake Orion took third place last week at the OAA II league meet, held at Clarkston.
The Dragons finished with 320 points, 32 behind champion Clarkston and 12 back of second place Stoney Creek.
Top individual finishers for the Dragons were Emily Loerch (third place in the 200-free, 2:00.83), Jenna Dorey (third place in diving, 341.70 points), Sara Simic (third place in the 100-back, 1:03.43, and fifth place in the 100-free, 57.58), Nicole Kudla (fourth place in both the 50-free, 25.58, and the 100-fly, 1:02.82), Chrissie Forrest (fifth place in both the 200-free, 2:01.71, and the 500-free, 5:30.12) and Ronnie Booth (fifth place in the 100-back, 1:05.68).
Lake Orion’s top relay squad was the 400-free unit of Forrest, Simic, Kudla and Loerch, which finished second to Clarkston with a D1 state qualifying time of 3:45.03 in the meet’s last event.
Also earning points for the Dragons were the 200-medley relay team (Simic, Kudla, Chelsey Booth and Liz Eesley) and the 200-free relay team (Emily Ribitch, Eesley, Forrest and Loerch), along with Loerch (sixth, 100-fly), Ribitch (eighth, 100-free and 10th, 200-free), Ronnie Booth (eighth, 200-IM), Amy Norman (ninth, 200-free and 11th 500-free), Eesley (ninth, 100-free), Chelsey Booth (ninth, 100-fly) Hailey Aguillon (ninth, diving) and Chantal Talbot (14th, diving).
Next up for the team is the state meet at Eastern Michigan, with prelims set for Friday, Nov. 16.
