School records continued to be broken when the Wildcats Varsity Boy’s Swimming team took to the pool against Brandon on Thursday, Jan 21.
Overall, seven school records were established throughout the Wildcats 110-76 loss.
‘I am very pleased with last night’s results,? said Swim Coach Jackie Boswell. ‘The boys have really risen to the challenge and continue to work hard in practice.?

In the 200 Medley Relay, the Wildcats A-Relay of junior Captain Kyle Shick, junior Jacob Clark, junior Captain James Walker and freshman Jarred Butler finished second in a record time of 1:58.57.
The 200 Freestyle saw sophomore Taylor Keller finish second with a time of 2:19.09, while sophomore Nolan Salani finished fourth.
In the 200 Individual Medley, Butler took third with a time of 2:30.56, while sophomore Josiah Tasch and freshman Zachary Lavender came in fourth and fifth respectively.
Walker set the school record in the 50 Free with his first place time of 24.33. Junior Dylan Hency came in fourth for the Wildcats.
In diving, Shick came in second with 145.60 points and Clark came in third.
In the 100 Fly, Walker finished first with a record time of 1:04.37. Junior Corey Bell finished fifth.
The 100 Freestyle saw Dylan Hency finish second for the Wildcats with a time of 1:00.82. Sophomore Sean Thomas finished fifth.
Butler set the school’s record in the 500 Freestyle with his first place finishing time 5:38.64. Tasch was third.
The A-Relay of Keller, Clark, Hency and Tasch finished second in the 200 Free Relay with a time of 1:49.45.
Shick took first in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 1:09.26. Sophomore Daniel Stockard was fifth for Oxford.
Lavender set the school record in the 100 Breaststroke with his time of 1:14.01. Clark was third for the Wildcats.
In the 400 Free Relay, the A-Relay team of Butler, Tasch, Keller and Walker finished second and set a school record with their time 3:55.97. Butler’s leadoff relay of 55.99 was a school record for the 100 Freestyle.
‘We will continue to see school records for the boys as long as they continue their hard work and dedication at practice,? said Boswell.
The boys will swim against Swartz Creek in their home opener on Jan. 28 beginning at 6 p.m.
