The Varsity Girl’s swimming team came up short against Waterford Kettering in their first meet of the year, losing 105-81 on Tuesday, Sept. 9.
‘The meet was close…we had a lot of good swims and alot of mediocre ones,? said Oxford Swim Coach Jackie Boswell.
The results are as follows:
The 200 Medley Relay of Junior’s Jenna Mallard and Anna Daves and Sophomore’s Ellen Saville and Claire Patrell took second with a time of 2:14.63.
In the 200 freestyle, Mallard took second with a time of 2:14.65. Junior Sarah Skelton finished third.
In the 200 Individual Medley, Patrell finished third with a time of 2:46.98 and Saville finished fourth.
Daves took second in the 50 freestyle with a time of 30.42. Senior Rikki Jarvis and Junior Rachel Hermanson finished fourth and fifth respectively.
In the diving portion, Senior Olivia Martin’s 136.15 points was enough for third place and Junior Kayla Pollard finished fifth.
In the 100 Butterfly, Patrell finished second with a time of 1:12.50 and Sophomore Brooklyn Allen finished fifth.
Freshman Casey Keils? time of 1:05.42 placed her second in the 100 freestyle. Daves took third and Sophomore Brittany Basela finished fifth.
In the 500 freestyle, Skelton finished second with a time of 6:24.43. Senior Kaitlyn Kimmel and Freshman Caitlyn Wroblewski took third and fourth respectively.
Wildcat’s A relay of Patrell, Jarvis, Wroblewski and Daves took second with a time of 2:03.10 in the 200 Free Relay, while the B relay of Hermanson, Freshman Sammi Kurk, Sophomore Amanda Delapaz and Keils finished third.
In the 100 Backstroke, Mallard finished second with a time of 1:11.21, while Senior Kara Charles and Wroblewski finished fourth and fifth respectively.
Saville took second in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:24.89. Allen and Kimmel finished fourth and fifth respectively.
In the 400 Free Relay, Oxford’s A relay of Skelton, Keils, Saville and Mallard won with a time of 4:27.67. The Wildcat’s B relay finished second.
