SUV lands on business? front lawn

Another traffic accident involving failure to yield in the Oxford area, this one occurring in the village.
On Oct. 27 around 3:35 p.m., a 2005 Dodge truck traveling west from Stanton Street to Dennison Street collided with a 2008 Saab wagon traveling southbound on South Washington Street. The Saab then rolled over once and came to rest on the grass in front of Michigan Eye Institute, located at 53 South Washington.
The two drivers, 27-year-old Erin Brazley-Smith and 23-year-old Meagan Szarek (both of Oxford), received no injuries and were released at the scene. Both their vehicles sustained considerable damage.
According to Officer Clint Ascroft of the Oxford Village Police Department, who handles patrols and investigations, Szarek was cited for failure to yield. He added that this area of the village is accident-prone due to limited visibility.
