Board of Education President Danielle Bresett read a summary document of Mercer’s evaluation, stating the it was a comprehensive process involving multiple work sessions by the board.
“I am pleased to report that Superintendent Heidi Mercer has demonstrated significant success in leading Lake Orion Community Schools this year,” Bresett said. “Heidi has achieved an ‘effective’ rating in all eight evaluation categories used in her review. Overall, the board has awarded Heidi an effective rating for the 2024 evaluation period.”
The state changed the rating categories making “effective” the highest rating any educator can receive, Treasurer Jake Singer said.
