Wednesday nights beginning at 7 p.m. in downtown Lake Orion are being filled with music.
The Paint Creek Summer Series, hosted by Downtown Lake Orion, has started in Children’s Park on South Broadway.
Various business owners throughout the district worked together to plan the series, with Ron Kalso of Global Soccer and Amy Lieblein of Downtown Lake Orion producing the music.
‘We’ve assembled a great lineup for the series,? Kalso said. ‘The music will appeal to folks of all ages and represents various tastes. There’s something for everyone and it will be a real neighborhood event.?
Space is limited so arrive early for a choice place for a blanket or lawn chair. Coolers are welcome. Parking for this free series is available on the streets and at village lots. Concerts last approximately two hours.

July 20 — Reggie Harrison & Friends — Contemporary music
July 27 — Youth Open Mic Night — Local youth talent showcase
Aug. 3 — Jump Street Swing Band — 18-piece band
Aug. 10 — The Dream Foundation — New World Jazz
Aug. 17 — Crystal Lynn — Country music mix
Aug. 24 — Praise — Gospel Music
Aug. 31 — The Paint Creek Boys — Blue grass and gospel
