Brandon’s varsity girls basketball team earned a 47-28 win against host Davison in an Oct. 30 nonleague matchup.
Savannah Stedman scored 18 points and Sherri Lawrence added seven for the Blackhawks, who led 23-15 at halftime.
Five days earlier, the Blackhawks were defeated by host Lapeer West 48-34, as Brandon fell to 9-4 in Flint Metro League action.
The Panthers broke the game open in the second quarter after taking a 9-7 lead at the end of the first quarter. Lapeer West outscored Brandon 17-7 in the second to take a 26-12 lead at halftime, and they never looked back.
Caitlyn Chojnacki scored 17 points to lead the Panthers, while Stedman scored 18 points in the loss for the Blackhawks.
