Donations, volunteers are appreciated
The Lake Orion Special Needs Trunk or Treat is just a couple of weeks away and anyone who would like to support the ghouls and ghosts at the event is welcome to donate.
This year’s Special Needs Trunk or Treat celebration is 6-8 p.m. Oct. 22 at Lake Orion United Methodist Church, 140 E. Flint St.
The event includes trick-or-treat bags and refreshments. Masks and gloves will be accessible for anyone who wants those items.
Candy and good donations are welcome, and anyone who wants to volunteer to decorate a vehicle and hand out candy or volunteer for other activities is welcome to do so, said organizer Mary Vellucci.
Students can earn community service hours for volunteering. Anyone who would like to help out can message Vellucci at 248-982-3580. – J.N.
