Lake Orion topped Waterford Kettering 4-1 at home on Tuesday night to advance to Thursday’s district semifinal against Grand Blanc.
Reed Losee, Weston Wittry, Blake Skamiera and Zack Favaro all scored for the Dragons, and Bim Ogunemy added a pair of assists.
Lake Orion improved to 6-7-4 with the victory.
The Dragons kick-off against Grand Blanc at 7 p.m., with a potential match-up with Clarkston awaiting in the finals.
Should the Dragons advance to take on the Wolves in Saturday’s 1 p.m. final, it would allow the two squads to settle the score from a late September game that ended in a shortened tie because of lightning.
‘If we meet them in the final, it would be a good final,? Assistant Coach Geoff Harris said.
