Ski teams remain dominant at 8-0

Both the boys and girls teams put up perfect scores in the slalom and giant slalom against Waterford United and Detroit Country Day on Jan. 26 and 27. Clarkston also dispatched Cranbrook, along with the other schools at Pine Knob, to bring the record for both the Wolves? boys and girls teams to 8-0.
On the girls side Mo Weiland led the way with a time of 47.07 in the slalom and 38.31 in the giant slalom. Both times were good for first place against all three schools.
The girls team beat DCD and Waterford 20-64 and bested Cranbrook 26-50.
The boys side also crushed their opposition from all three schools, with Alex Rosengren leading the way.
Rosengren put up a 45.18 in the slalom and a 36.92 in the giant slalom, both marks good for first place finishes against all three schools.
The boys vanquished DCD 20-64, Waterford 20-58 and Cranbrook 25-47.
Clarkston also competed in the Traverse City Central tournament, on Jan. 31, which featured 10 of the best teams in the state. Clarkston’s boys and girls teams both finished third.
The ski teams? competition will pick up next week as the Wolves will entertain Lake Orion on Feb. 2.
