Sheriff seeks B&E suspect who’s possibly armed

The Oakland County Sheriff’s Department is looking for a Rochester-area man they believe is responsible for the breaking and entering of an Oxford Township business in the early morning hours on Sept. 22.
The suspect, reportedly a drug addict, is said to be related to the owner of the burglarized business, Frontier Distributing on E. Drahner Rd.
The suspect allegedly gained entry to the business by using a flathead screwdriver and a crowbar ? both of which were left at the scene and collected as evidence.
According to the police report, among the items stolen were about $400 in cash, a collection of United States coins valued at $100, a black Dell computer tower and keyboard, a 12-gauge Western Field shotgun and a .22 single-shot Remington rifle.
Police were able to recover the computer equipment, which had been stored in a black trash bag on the property.
The money and the weapons remain missing.
While the shotgun has a serial number, the rifle is an older one with no serial number.
Sgt. Randy Praski, of the OCSD’s Oxford Substation, said that police hope to find the suspect soon, but that his present address is unknown.
Police say the suspect had previously worked for Frontier but left on bad terms.
Anyone who has any information on this crime, the suspect or his whereabouts is asked to contact the OCSD substation at 248-969-3077.
