Sharon Ann DeMeritt of Lake Orion passed away on Nov. 4, 2024. She was 68 years old.
Sharon is the daughter of the late Arthur and Winifred Johnson; the beloved wife of Paul, with whom they shared 49 years of marriage; the loving mother of Derrick (Jen) DeMerit and Vail (Kellie) DeMeritt; loving grandmother of William, Mikaila, Vivian and Brecken; and sister of the late Steven G. Johnson.
Sharon was the CEO of Combustion Research Corporation. She enjoyed cooking and gardening, and was an accomplished artist ranging from painting to wood carving. Sharon always looked forward to the summer boating and swimming activities with family and friends on Long Lake in Orion Township. She frequently hosted family gatherings at her Lake Orion home to celebrate holidays, birthdays and life!
The family received friends from 3-7 p.m. Monday Nov. 11, 2024 at Sparks-Griffin Funeral Home in Lake Orion.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Breakthrough T1D (Formerly JDRF) or to the organization of one’s choice.
