School survey

Clarkston Community School officials are looking for residents’ opinions on buildings, traffic flow, safety, and other issues, so they’re conducting an online survey.
‘A strong and vibrant school system is important to community unity and success,? said Deputy Superintendent Shawn Ryan.
A facilities evaluation of school property and facilities is underway, Ryan said.
‘In this process, all buildings and sites are being evaluated, providing both a snapshot in time and a look forward to the district’s current and anticipated needs,? he said. ‘We have invested in our school district over the years and that is paying dividends through stable enrollment and expansion in educational offerings from pre-school to college and career prep.?
It includes traffic flow, separation of pedestrians and vehicles, parking lot sizes and conditions, playground safety, drainage, pavement and concrete conditions and overall accessibility.
Facilities issues also include safety and security in and around the buildings, roofing, windows, doors, wall systems, mechanical systems, electrical systems, interior finishes, technology infrastructure, technology equipment, educational program requirements, and operational efficiencies.
The survey, provided at no cost to the district at www.surveymonkey.com/r/ClarkstonCS, takes 5-10 minutes. Results will be available in 3-4 months.
‘The intent is to inform the community regarding this facilities assessment process and glean feedback from you regarding current facilities, operations and programming. Your input as a parent and/or community member is valued and important to this process,? Ryan said.
