Goodrich — Teachers who have worked 10 years at Goodrich have reason to leave.
Teachers or administrators submitting their resignations prior to April 1, 2004 are eligible for a $5,000 incentive.
The intent is not to drive anyone out, said Goodrich School Board President Michael Thorp.
“If you’re going to retire anyway, let us know so we get the pick of the litter with new teachers,” he said.
Trustee Gary Foltz moved to approve the incentive at last week’s board meeting, which was seconded by trustee Shane Tiedeman. The motion was carried.
