Dennis James Ryckman, age 66, of Byron, Georgia, and formerly of Lake Orion, passed away on Sept. 30, 2016.
Denny graduated from Lake Orion High School in 1968, retired from truck driving four years ago and was also a retired fireman.
Every thanksgiving he fixed a huge turkey dinner for any policeman or fireman that could take a break. It was ‘open house’ all day.
Dennis is survived by his parents Cecil and Marge Ryckman and brother Randy all of Lewiston, Michigan; wife Cheryl of Byron, Georgia, 2 children, 2 step-children and several grandchildren, and several great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. He is also survived by many aunts and uncles, Don and Neva Kolodjeczak, Jack and Helen Lewis, June Smith and many cousins.
As per Denny’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial will be held in Lewiston on October 8, 2016 at the Ryckman cabin.
