Clarkston Rotary Club invites the public to a presentation by John Micile, energy analyst for Wolverine Power Supply Cooperative, about a new windmill farm in Huron County, Oct. 27, at Deer Lake Athletic Club, 6167 White Lake Road.
The wind farm, Michigan’s first, spans 3,200 acres in Michigan’s Thumb area near Elkton, on property leased from landowners in two townships. The project’s total capacity of 52.8 megawatts is enough to power more than 15,000 homes.
