Rotary funds addition to Kids Kingdom

The Rotary Club of Oxford, together with Oxford Township Parks and Recreation, have worked together to install a new children’s swing set for the playground at Seymour Lake Township Park.
The new swing set, which was approved by the American Disabilities Association, includes eight seats, four of which are belted seats, and one therapeutic seat.
It will allow children of all ages and physical needs to enjoy another amenity of Kid’s Kingdom.
Best of all, not one single tax dollar was spent. Rotary covered the $3,323 bill.
‘It’s just another beautiful feature to our park,? said Ron Davis, the director of parks and rec. ‘I can’t thank the Rotary enough. It’s people like that who make the park what it is today.?
Davis said more work will begin in May to place restrooms and a picnic pavilion near Kid’s Kingdom as well. Private businesses, who wish to remain anonymous, have committed to contributing financially.
