Rose are red, violets are blue and one of Lake Orion’s newest businesses will help get fresh flowers to you.
Roses, located at 2561 S. Lapeer Rd., is a full service floral shop that offers all sorts of flowers, bouquets, baskets and arrangements.
‘Anything you can think of, I can get,? said owner Josh Stickney.
As the name of the store would signify, Stickney carries a wide-range of roses, with varieties in color and size. He offers over 40 colors of roses, along with a variety of two-tone roses.
All of his flowers come with a satisfaction guarantee, he said, which means no bad flower will go out of the store.
‘If one does, we want them to bring the flower back and get it replaced,? Stickney added. ‘It’s all about customer service.?
He also strives to bring the freshest quality of flowers to his customers not only by his satisfaction guarantee, but he also buys his flowers direct from Miami, essentially cutting out the middleman.
‘Places that don’t buy direct get two-week old product, but since we buy direct, our product is within a week old,? Stickney said. ‘The flowers are a lot fresher and the roses last longer.?
Besides offering a variety of fresh cut flowers and roses, Stickney also does arrangements for funerals, weddings, banquets, parties and receptions. They also offer pre-made bouquets, ranging from $15 to $20 in price, in store for those who need to pick up a quick gift.
Roses also carries a variety of vases, both standard glass and crystal, along with greeting cards, bears and other gift items.
Stickney also said that Roses offers delivery anytime day or night.
Stickney owns and operates another Roses store in Sterling Heights, but being originally from this area, he was happy to return and open the store on Lapeer Rd. He graduated from Lake Orion High School in 2001.
