Look for traffic delays on several area roads through October.
The Road Commission is reconstructing the median of M-24 at the Dutton/Brown Roads intersection in anticipation of a developer’s construction of Dutton from Bald Mountain Road to M-24. Lane closures will occur between 9 a.m.-3 p.m. weekdays. Completion is expected by the end of October.
Buell Road from Rochester Road to one half mile west of Rochester is currently closed while developer The Toll Brothers paves this section of gravel to provide access to a subdivision (at no cost to RCOC or residents). The project should be done by the end of August.
The detour route is Stoney Creek and Lake George Roads.
As part of the same subdivision project, Collins Road, north of Orion Road to Buell, will be closed approximately to the end of August. Toll Brothers is installing a sanitary sewer along the road and then will be paving the gravel road.
