Oxford Varsity Boys and Girls Track Results:
Oxford vs. Lapeer East and Brandon (May 2) ? The girls team lost to Brandon 75-62 and beat Lapeer East 94-43.
Highlights of the meet was a first place win in the 400-meter relay by junior captain Jacqui Sylva, senior captains Tiara Tatarczuk and Ashlee Morgan Eller and senior Natalie Lukas.
Another highlight was the tieing of Oxford’s current girls pole vault record that was set in 1998. Sophomore Katherine Bosetti and freshman Keeona Ives cleared jumps of 7 foot, 6 inches. Senior boys captain Brent Mueller took his fourth first place by clearing 11 feet in the vault.
The boys team beat Brandon and Lapeer East 80-57 and 103-34, respectively.
Highlights of the meet was junior captain Andrew Moll’s first place in the 110 hurdles, junior Andrew Klimbal’s first place in the 400-meter dash.
On Saturday, the teams competed at the Algonac Relays, where the girls team took fourth place out of 18 teams and the boys took fifth out of 12 teams.
The girls took first place in the 1600-meter relay, and second place in both the 400-meter relay and 800-meter relay.
The boys took fourth place in the discus and Moll placed third in the 110 high hurdles.
The track team will travel to Holly today for a 4 p.m. meet.

Algonac Relays (May 5) ? The Oxford teams competed at the Algonac Relays, where the girls team took fourth place out of 18 teams and the boys took fifth out of 12 teams.
Highlights from the girls team included a second place win in the 800-meter relay, the 400-meter relay and a first place win in the 1600-meter relay.
Highlights from the boys team included placing fourth in the discus event, junior captain Andrew Moll’s third place win in the 110 high hurdles and placing fifth in the co-ed 800-meter relay.
Oxford Invitational (May 12) ? The girls team won the invitational with a score of 152 and the boys team came in fourth place with a score of 88 out of the 10 teams that participated.
Highlights from the girls team included a first place win for junior captain Jacqui Sylva in the 100-meter dash, a first place win for freshman Kate Wolanin in the 300-meter hurdles and a first place win in the 1600-meter relay for Wolanin, freshman Shannon Seeley, senior captain Tiara Tatarczuk and sophomore Hannah George.
Highlights from the boys team included senior Russ Francis? second place in the shot put and discus events, Moll’s second place in the 300-meter hurdles and the team’s second place finish in the 400-meter relay.
