Report: Goodrich recommended for NCA accreditation

Goodrich-On Wednesday, during a special meeting of the Goodrich Area Schools Board of Education, a Quality Assurance Review (Q.A.R.) was presented following a three-day survey of the district.
The Q.A.R. exit report completed by AdvanceEd, accreditation, research, and continuous improvement in a customized way to 27,000 public and private schools and districts across the United States and in 65 countries worldwide and educating 15 million students.
Goodrich was recommended to receive districtwide NCA accreditation. Stephanie O’Dea, Goodrich High School acting assistant princpal, said the four-day review included interviews with teachers, students, parents and administrators.
‘The report was very positive,? said O’Dea. ‘This assures that we are providing a quality education for our students and that we will continue to make improvements district wide.?
The North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (NCA), also known as North Central, is one of six regional accreditation organizations recognized by the United States Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
