Atlas Twp. – Coming up with the name ‘The Tree House? for Oaktree Elementary’s new playground was a no-brainer for third-grader Jaime Spicko.
‘I thought of a treehouse because I thought about the school being named Oaktree, and sometimes treehouses are in oak trees,? Jaime said.
The playground, built through community, volunteer, and school board contributions, is the second one put up this year.
Along with numerous community contributions, services and financial support were provided by United Auto Workers Local 598, the Goodrich Parent Teacher Organization box top fund, Ken’s Redi-Mix, Bedrock Express, Brown’s Do-it Center, T.J. Sachs Custom Builder, Johnson and Son Excavating, Oxford Bank, Craig Hutchinson of Atlas Real Estate, Bank One, Tool Sport and Sign, Wojo’s Greenhouse, and CenturyTel.
