SYNOPSIS OF INTRODUCED ORDINANCE
Proposed Ordinance 6.17 – Amendment to Disorderly Conduct Ordinance
At its Regular Meeting of June 27, 2016, the Lake Orion Village Council accepted for first reading Ordinance No. 6.17, Amendment to the Disorderly Conduct Ordinance, an Ordinance to amend Title XIII, GENERAL OFFENSES, Chapter 130 of the Code of the Village of Lake Orion, entitled OFFENSES AGAINST VILLAGE REGULATIONS, amending Section 130.04, Offenses Against Public Rights, Safety and Morals.
The effect of this Ordinance, if adopted, is to clarify the behavior constituting a violation of the Disorderly Person Ordinance and to prohibit the assembly of two (2) or more persons from acting in concert together to commit any unlawful act instead of the current five (5) person restriction;
Second reading and adoption of this Ordinance will be considered by the Lake Orion Village Council at its Regular Meeting to be held on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. The complete text of the Ordinance is on file in the office of the Village Clerk and available for public inspection during regular Village office hours located at 21 E. Church Street, Lake Orion, Michigan, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and is available on the Village website at www.lakeorion.org.
