Post office food drive Saturday

Mark Saturday, May 12 on your calendars! The Lake Orion Post Office, along with letter carriers around the country, is hosting the 15th Annual Letter Carriers Food Drive.
Put non-perishable food in a bag by your mailbox and your letter carrier will pick it up on their route. If you are worried that you have missed your letter carrier, call the Lake Orion Post Office at (248)693-8369 and someone will come out and pick up your donations.
Food can also be dropped off to a box in the outer lobby at the Lake Orion Post Office, and there is a dropbox in the Post Office lobby for individuals wishing to donate money or grocery store gift cards to help families purchase perishable food — break, milk, eggs, etc.
All food and donations collected with benefit indivuals in need of help in Orion and Oxford areas, as the food will be donated to Oxford/Orion FISH.
The Lake Orion Post Office would also like to remind everyone that on May 14, the postage rate will raise two-cents to a total of 41-cents to mail an one-ounce First-Class letter.
