The following is public information from official documents, including written statements, handwritten eyewitness accounts, court recordings and press releases from the Oakland County Sheriff’s Department substation, Brandon Township, and the Michigan State Police post in Groveland Township

Ruined starter
On Dec. 3 Groveland Township troopers responded to a complaint of damage to a vehicle’s ignition. Along with the car damage, mailboxes were also destroyed in the 12,000 block of Dixie Highway. The vehicle is described as a white 1987 Oldsmobile Calais four-door sedan.

Snowed the board
On Dec. 5 a 20-year-old Holly man admitted to larceny of a snowboard from Mt. Holly in Groveland Township. The subject was assigned a Clarkston district court date.

Domestic assault arrest
On Dec. 6 Groveland Township troopers stopped a 33-year-old White Lake man driving on North Dixie Highway near Grange Hall Road for vision obstruction, and discovered the driver has an outstanding warrant for misdemeanor domestic assault.
The driver was released after posting $100 on the warrant.

Montrose arrest
On Dec. 9 Groveland Township troopers stopped a 26-year-old Montrose man who was driving erratically on northbound I-75 near Grange Hall Road. The man was arrested for driving under the influence of liquor.

Rutting neighbors
On Dec. 12 someone drove all over the lawn of a Ramsey Road home. The resident said this is not the first time someone has rutted his lawn and has an idea of who is doing it.

Injured deer
On Dec 13 deputies euthenized a deer that was injured on Cook Trail.

On Dec. 14 deputies assisted the Brandon Fire Department with a fire on Patterson Avenue. The residents found the fire on the outside of the house when they returned home from a Christmas party. They managed to extinguish the fire before the department arrived. The cause was of the fire was determined to be Christmas lights resting on the wood siding of the home.

Mt. Holly thieves
On Dec. 14 At 12:30 p.m., Groveland Township troopers responded to a report of a snowboard taken from Mt. Holly. The snowboard, belonging to a Flushing victim, is described as a black and orange Burton Cruizer with scratches near the top, valued at approximately $400.

Watch your board
On Dec. 15 Groveland Township troopers responded to a report of a snowboard taken from Mt. Holly. The snowboard, belonging to a Flint victim, is described as a black Palmer with red and black Rossingnel bindings, valued at approximately $600.

Leave the makeup
On December 15 a Gallagher Court resident reported someone had stolen a cell phone, woman’s makeup, clothes, and some change from his truck which was parked in his driveway.

Groveland police
Dec. 3:
At 10:25 p.m., Groveland Township Troopers responded to a complaint of damage to an vehicle’s ignition and two mailboxes int he 12,000 block of Dixie Highway. The vehicle is described as a white 1987 Oldsmobile Calais four-door sedan.

Dec. 5:
At 3:33 p.m., a 20-year-old Holly man admitted to larceny of a snowboard from Mt. Holly in Groveland Township. The subject was assigned a Clarkston district court date.

Dec. 6:
At 9:05 p.m., Groveland Township Troopers stopped a 33-year-old White Lake man driving on North Dixie Highway near Grange Hall Road for vision obstruction, and discovered the driver has an outstanding warrant for misdeameanor domestic assault.

At 4:44 a.m., Groveland Township Troopers stopped a 26-year-old Montrose man who was driving erratically on northbound I-75 near Grange Hall Road. The man was arrested for driving under the influence of liquor.

Possessing pot
On April 1, Atlas deputies responded to a report of a Goodrich Middle School eighth-grade student in possession of marijuana and a cigarette lighter. The student was released to his father. Probate court warrants are pending.
Got it all
On April 18, Atlas deputies stopped the driver of a 1992 Ford passenger vehicle at M-15 and Hegel Road for not wearing a seat belt. Open beer was discovered in the car of the 44-year-old Metamora man, who was arrested for open intoxicants in a motor vehicle. Upon searching the car, 85.9 grams of marijuana were found in the center console. The man was lodged in the Genesee County Jail.
Contracting cash
On April 21, Atlas deputies responded to a report of uttering, publishing, and forgery in the 10000 block of Dar Lane. An employee of a company contracting with the resident forged the homeowner’s name, and cashed a stolen check in the amount of $125.
Disorderly
On April 24 a paper delivery person found a Clarkston man parked on the side of Oakfield Road, slumped over the wheel of his car. When deputies arrived they noticed a strong smell of intoxicants so they administered a PBT which the man blew a .16. He was ticketed for being disorderly.
Give it up…girl
On April 25 a Lockwood mother called Oakland County Sheriffs? to report that an old girlfriend of her son’s will not quit calling their home.
Home invasion
On April 27 a Hemlock Loop resident reported that someone stole more than a $1,000 cash and a money clip with $28 in it, sometime during the night. The man stated he came home in the evening, emptied his pockets and when he woke he discovered the items were missing. Officers noted that a wood board that was barring the bedroom window was on the floor, but there was no other evidence.
Slurry drunk
On April 28 an Ortonville man was arrested after deputies observed him speeding along M-15. Before the man stopped police observed him run off the road. After deputies stopped the driver, he rambled and mumbled to the officers in a slurred speech. He admitted he had been drinking and when tested he blew a .24 PBT rating. The man was taken to Oakland County Jail and sited for speeding and OWI.
Co-worker anger
On April 15 a 30-year-old employee of Simms reported that a co-worker hit him with a vehicle at work. The employee filed a felonious assault charge against the 35-year-old Grand Blanc man.
Shady character
On April 21 a Honert Road resident reported that after a brown pickup pulled up in her drive a man jumped out of the passenger side of the vehicle. The man asked the resident if he could use the phone but she told him she was waiting for a phone call from the police. He then asked her if she wanted to see his dog and she refused so he jumped in the truck and sped, in reverse, out of the drive. The resident was unable to obtain the license number of the truck.
Arrested passenger
On April 23 during a routine traffic stop officers arrested a 25-year-old Ortonville woman after officers discovered she had a warrant out for her arrest. The woman was wanted on felony charges for possession of cocaine in Waterford. The woman was taken to Oakland County Jail.
Obvious pipes
On April 24, a 56 year-old Waterford man was stopped on Red Bud Lane for having improper plates. Officers were given verbal permission to check the man’s car and they found two glass crack pipes on the drivers seat. The man was ticketed with possession of drug pipes, improper plates, no proof of insurance, and no registration. The car was impounded and the man was taken to the Shell gas station to call for a ride.
MDOP Season
On April 23 a Perry Lake Road reported that someone smashed her mailbox for the second time in two weeks. The box wreckers destroyed the post also. The woman fears it has been done by some kids that go to school with her daughter, as the daughter has experienced trouble with them at school.
Seasonal MDOP
On April 23 a Dogwood resident reported that someone scratched the hood of her car while it was in a parking lot at her job. She told deputies she suspects that it was school children who created the marks.
Took the tunes
On April 24, an 18 year-old woman reported that someone stole the cd player, amps, speakers, and cd’s from her car. She said she spent the night with a girlfriend and locked her car that was in parked in the drive. In the morning her dash board was torn apart and she was missing her possessions. There are no suspects.
Right of passage
On April 24, more malicious destruction of property took place on Cherry. A resident reported she heard a loud noise outside the house at night but did not notice anything unusual. The next morning she found someone had smashed her windshield of her car and the siding and shutters on her home.
Spotted MDOP
On April 24 three Cedar Loop residents reported that someone had hit their homes with paintballs, causing damage to all three of the homes. A maroon mini van with a gray bottom was spotted nearby.
