Pfc. Joseph Miracle wrist bands now on sale

Brandon High School will honor Pfc. Joseph A. Miracle, a 2003 graduate and captain of the 2002 varsity football team, who died on July 5 in the Watapor Valley of Kunar Providence, Afghanistan, at 6:30, Oct. 19 at the home football game.
The ceremony will be conducted by military veterans, including a 21-gun salute and Taps. Wrist bands will be sold to raise funds for a permanent memorial. Current players, along with Joe’s former teammates, will offer the commemorative wrist bands for a suggested donation of $5. Also, a special trust fund has been established at Oxford Bank. Contributions can be made to: The Joe Miracle Memorial Fund c/o Oxford Bank, P.O Box 163, Ortonville, MI 48462. Donations will also be recieved at the Brandon fire halls, as well as the Real Estate One office, 875 S. Ortonville Road.
