When you walk into the new Pandora’s Box, there’s no telling what you’ll find.
The new store, located at 91 S. Washington where Center Stage Dance Company used to make its home, is full of unique home accents and memorable gifts, perfect for that hard-to-buy-for person.
Owned and operated by Waterford resident Priscilla Pandrak, the purple colored store made its debut to the downtown Oxford area on Sept. 18.
Pandora’s Box was located on Dixie Highway in Clarkston for the past six years in a tiny 850-sq. ft. building, but Pandrak decided to move to a place where she could get more foot traffic and have more space.
Whether you’re looking for heavenly-scented potpourri, fancy teapots, beautiful wall decor or candles, Pandora’s Box is where you’ll find it.
Items in the store run anywhere from a $3 birthday card to an $800 piece of furniture.
‘I try to keep my prices moderate,? Pandrak said. ‘I have a large range of things in the $20 range.?
Pandora’s Box is overflowing with angel decor, art, glassware, cards, stationary, lotions and a wide range of costume jewelry.
Unique to Pandrak’s store are the custom-made denim jackets she and her friend Joanne Ries create. They dye laces in different colors and attach various accessories, like beads, to make one-of-a-kind jackets.
Pandrak will jazz up your boring old lamp shades by using chicken wire covered in fragrant eucalyptus leaves, flowers and berries.
Upholstered accent tables, chests and drawers can also be found in the store, all of which are done by Pandrak herself.
‘I enjoy doing that whole putting together process,? she said.
Pandora’s Box can help make your home a beautiful expression of who you are with Pandrak’s interior design.
She will offer suggestions in color and fabric selection, window treatments, furniture placement and accessorizing for your home. Home appointments are available.
To show her customers that their needs and satisfaction is her greatest goal, Pandrak will be offering private shopping nights, where a group of customers will get to shop after hours. Pandora’s Box also offers a 10 percent discount to employees of Oxford businesses.
The Grand Opening of Pandora’s Box will be on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 10-4 p.m. and will feature a clown, refreshments and 20 percent off the entire store.
Pandora’s Box’s hours are Mon.-Wed. 10-5 p.m., Thurs. 10-8 p.m., Fri. 10-8 p.m. and Sat. 10-4 p.m. Call the store at (248) 969-2400 for more information.
