The Goodrich varsity hockey team lost to the Oxford Wildcats 3-2 on Jan. 5. Oxford had two goals on the Martians within the first period.
During the second period, Goodrich came back and tied the game by scoring two goals. Jake Brejnak scored the first goal for Goodrich assited by Mitchell Syrowik, and Trevor Troupe made the second unassisted. Oxford took the lead again in the third period when they scored their final and winning goal that the Martians left unanswered. Michael Underwood made 28 saves for Goodrich.
At 5 p.m. on Jan. 16 the Martians will play Durand at home.
