Out-of-district students welcome

Oxford’s Board of Education voted unanimously December 12 to allow students who live outside of the district to attend Oxford schools for the second semester of the 2006-07 school year.
Students residing within the Oakland Intermediate School District and those districts which border the Oxford district, such as Lapeer or Romeo, are able to send students.
The openings at each grade level are as follows:
‘Kindergarten: 8 openings
‘First grade: 4 openings
‘Second grade: 1 opening
‘Third grade: 8 openings
‘Fourth grade: 7 openings
‘Fifth grade: 5 openings
‘Ninth grade: 2 openings
‘Tenth grade: 2 openings
‘Eleventh grade: 2 openings
‘Twelfth grade: 2 openings.
The middle school will not be open to any out-of district-students because they are currently at their maximum capacity.
