SYNOPSIS, REGULAR MEETING MONDAY, MARCH 3, 2025

Called meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. All members were present.
Held Board Workshop to discuss a sports facility at Civic Center Park.
Reconvened meeting at 7:01 p.m.
The invocation was provided by Jack Lovat. All rose for the Pledge of Allegiance.
Proclaimed April 25, 2025, as Mayor’s Monarch Pledge Day, to encourage residents to
participate in community activities that support and celebrate monarch conservation.
Proclaimed April 25, 2025, as Arbor Day, and urged residents to support efforts to protect our
trees and woodlands.
Presentation was provided by Michele Novak, who discussed how to be a host family for the
Lake Orion International Exchange Program.
Approved payment of bills in the amount of $1,211,557.37 and payrolls in the amount of
$381,846.40 Total disbursement of funds was $1,593,403.77, as presented.
Approved Agenda, as presented.
Approved Consent Agenda, as presented.
Approved Minutes – Regular Meeting, February 18, 2025.
Approved the Township’s participation in the 2025 Gravel Haul Program and the budgeted funds
of $150,000 to be utilized to fund the Township’s participation in the program.
Authorized the purchase of computer replacements and upgrades as requested, for a total amount
not to exceed $112,463.39; and authorize the Budget & Procurement Director to make
the necessary budget adjustments.
Approved the proposed amended and restated Consent Judgement as reviewed and discussed
following the court ordered mediation and authorized the Township Supervisor to
execute the same.
Approved the first reading for PC-24-03, Villas at Forest Glen Final Planned Unit Development
Plan, located on a vacant parcel east of 310 Waldon Rd. and west of 270 Waldon Rd.
(Sidwell #09-23-351-024) and direct the Clerk to publish for second reading.
Awarded the contract for the Recreation Center Cycle 1 low voltage services build-out to
AllComm at a cost not to exceed $193,378.85.
Authorized the purchase of the Recreation Center Cycle 1 FF&E from Interior Environments at a
cost not to exceed $154,401.82.
Established a moratorium on the review and approval of all permits, licenses, and other
approvals of mobile food establishments for any period longer than four (4) days at one
location for a period of six (6) months or until the Township Board approves an
amendment of Ordinance No. 162 and Zoning Ordinance 78 30.11 F after a public
hearing, whichever occurs first.
Received and filed the Police/Fire Reports, as presented.
Received and filed the Financial Statements and Manual Journal Entry Reports, as presented.
