The Orion Stars U14 volleyball team competed at the AAU State Volleyball championship in Grand Rapids, June 4-5, and remained undefeated the whole weekend. The team was awarded gold medals, and they are coached by LOHS teacher Dave McKay and assistant, team parent George Edwards. The 11 team members represent all three Lake Orion middle schools. Representing Oakview are: Amy Arsen, Kelsie Deppen, Molly Edwards, Lauren Pavlik and Hillary Reilly. Representing Scripps are: Emily Deachin, Arielle Gellish, Sam Stewart and Alicia Tirpak. Representing Waldon are Lauren McLoed and Kayla Hill.
