On Feb. 4, the North Sashabaw Elementary Student Council tied on their aprons and went to work.
The students, along with the help of parents, coordinated a breakfast in honor of being named a Blue Ribbon School. Guests included the North Sashabaw faculty and school board members.
The spread was immaculate, from fresh fruit and muffins to casseroles and quiche.
The theme was blue. Students decorated the library in blue and made blue ribbon pins for their guests.
‘It was definitely a surprise,? said Principal Debbie Latozas. ‘All week the students have been whispering about something and now I know why. It’s sweet.?
Student council members all agree they could not have pulled off the breakfast without the leadership of Mrs. Wendy Roeh, student council advisor.
‘She’s the best,? said student council member Jenna Towns.
The group planned for the day, set everything up and served their guests.
‘I am really proud we are a blue ribbon school,? said student council member Chelsea Budrow.
