New sales manager at Bowman’s

John Bowman Chevrolet’s new sales manager, Brian Burke, is a familiar face ? he was Bowman’s used-car sales manager for the last 13 years.
“Now I’m in new and used,” said Burke. “It’s going phenomenally. If you haven’t come in lately to see what we’re doing, stop in and take a test drive.”
As Clarkston’s hometown dealership, his goal is to sell 100 percent of the community’s Chevys and become the biggest Chevy dealership in Michigan.
“With the community behind us, we can do that,” he said. “There’s never a reason you can’t sell a car ? our job is to help customers make the right selection of a vehicle. It’s very important to try and help find the right vehicle that best fits the customer’s needs.”
He’ll offer more in trade-in, whatever it takes, he said.
“I’m pretty aggressive in making good car deals,” he said. “We make it up in volume.”
New vehicles are looking good, he said.
“The new models are doing extremely well, the incentives are the best they’ve been all year,” he said.
Burke grew up in Waterford and moved to Clarkston with his family about 25 years ago.
“I love the area ? that’s why we stayed, I love the town,” he said.
He has been in the car business for 35 years.
“My father was in the car business,” he said. “I love talking with people ? I work very closely with salespeople and customers, talking to customers before and after delivery.”
