Fantastic Sam’s has long been associated with affordable pricing ? Nancy and Joe Wysocki just don’t see why affordable pricing and the amenities of a high end hair salon cannot meet.
‘We want to provide an upscale atmosphere at a sensible price,? said Nancy Wysocki.
‘We are bringing a new upscale look to Fantastic Sam’s. We have one of the first of this nature,? added Joe Wysocki. ‘It took a little convincing though. We are going out of the box.?
What inspired the Wysocki’s to open a salon is the same thing they hope will drive their business success: family. The Wysocki’s daughters, Stephanie Jones and Rebecca, are both cosmotologists. When Jones, an Independence Township resident, told her parents that the area would be perfect for their concept, the Wysocki’s fell in love with the location.
‘We wanted to have the family together,? said Nancy Wysocki. ‘We want to be able to provide a family oriented and friendly experience.?
While the name on the front of the building may read Fantastic Sam’s, the Wysocki’s have left their mark on the concept and architecture of the new venture.
‘A lot of time, money and thought has gone into the design of our salon,? said Joe Wysocki.
The interior of the salon will feature sweeping, curving architectural lines, a waiting room with plush leather chairs and a television, a dedicated area for children replete with video games, eight service stations and pedestal sinks for added comfort.
In terms of services, the Wysocki’s will have specialty cuts for men, women and children; color/foil highlights; perms; waxing; conditioning treatments; and ‘up dos? perfect for the prom or any other special occasion.
‘You don’t have to go across the street and pay $40 for a haircut, but you can look like and feel like you do here,? said Joe Wysocki.
The list of products to be offered is expansive: Schwarzkoph hair color, Redken, Bedhead, Catwalk, American Crew, Matrix and Kiwi.
The Wysocki’s Fantastic Sam’s, which is scheduled to open on May 25, is located at 6315 Sashabaw Road between Waldon and Maybee Roads in the Village Town Center complex. A grand opening party, featuring a raffle, free food and drinks, and other festivities, is in the works for June 24.
