New developments offer contrast

Two new home developments in Goodrich and Hadley, both handled through Atlas Real Estate, are enticing buyers with contrasting interests.
Creekside Village, a new development near Dutch Road and Pontiac Street in the Village of Goodrich features modestly-sized and priced homes backing up to a new park dedicated to the village.
Situated near Kearsley Creek, the two-phase project will include a total of 34 lots.
Of 16 homes planned for phase one, seven prospective homes have been sold, and three speculation homes are being framed in to show potential buyers, said Sterling Heights developer Mark Workens, who is partnering with builder Walnut Farms on the project.
The ranch, colonial, and story-and-a-half home designs are 1,150 to 1,550-square feet in size, on lots about 70 feet wide by 150 feet deep. The homes, located in the Goodrich School District, will be connected to the village sewer system, and feature a full basement and attached two-car garage.
Homes in the development are being sold by Cindy Ford-Getzan of Atlas Real Estate.
Hidden Ridge Estates, also located within the Goodrich School District, is located in Hadley Township near Green Corners Road.
The 240-acre development will be home to 34 home sites, two on 40-acre parcels, one on a 27-acre parcel, and 31 on parcels from 1.5 to five acres in size.
Land parcels range in price from $69,900 to $349,900, not including homes.
Buyers choose their own builders and home designs, in compliance with Hidden Ridge Estates building restrictions. Requirements include a minimum home size of 1,700 square feet, with at least a two-car attached garage.
No homes have yet been built on the Hidden Ridge Estates parcels, although 13 have been reserved.
A road is also in place in the development, said Atlas Real Estate representative Brenda Tong, who thinks the site appeals to prospective buyers due to its three-county accessibility, being near the M-15, M-24, and I-69 commuter routes.
