In an economy where some have had to cut back on excess spending, there’s now a clothing store where you don’t have to worry about going broke to update your wardrobe.
Whether you’re looking for clothes, jewelry or purses, Time & Again Clothier retail and consignment shop, located at 17 S. Washington behind Pandora’s Box, is the place to go.
Owned and operated by Oxford resident Susy Krans, Time & Again has items for everyone in the family. From infant clothes, to fur coats, it’s easy to find what you’re looking for in the 400 square foot shop.
Time & Again carries primarily name brand clothing. T-shirts can start at $2 and fur coats are as low as $75. She tries to price everything at less than half of their retail price.
But don’t forget the jewelry, shoes and purses, too.
Being the founding member of the Queen Victoria Red Hats, Krans also sells the famed, flashy red and purple hats and clothing.
Her Red Hats chapter was partly the reason she decided to open the store.
‘We shop so many resale places that I just decided that I could do that and it would probably be fun,? she said.
Creative and unique items can be put together by shopping at resale shops, according to Krans. She said she loves to find the best bargain for her and her customers.
And the quality?
‘Everything is completely unstained and next to new,? Krans said. ‘It has to be in excellent condition ? no stains, tears, or buttons missing.?
Krans prides herself on being strict on the items she receives as consignment. She also wants to change the way people think about resale stores.
‘Men aren’t real big on resale, but the wives are,? she said.
Krans decided to open the shop to go back to the times when clothes were handed down generation to generation.
‘The whole concept worked well. I think we can bring that back again. There’s a misconception that people don’t want to wear anything used,? she said. ‘Some of it is so barely worn ? why not wear it again??
Krans requests that customers who would like to drop off clothes make an appointment before doing so.
