Neiman’s is open and hiring

Contrary to rumors, Neiman’s Family Market is doing fine.
Voted Best Grocery Store by readers in the Clarkston News’ Best of the Best, Aug. 19, the supermarket is actually hiring more employees.
“We are not closing our doors. We are committed to Clarkston. We just signed a 12 month lease,” said Store Director John Schmidt.
Local business woman and volunteer Peg Roth found a web page with leasing information for White Lake Commons. Neiman’s Market is photographed on the page, and looks to be available for lease.
“We found the root of the rumors,” Schmidt said.
He was frustrated at the leasing company but thankful the cause of the rumor was found.
Neiman’s has had a successful couple years in business in Clarkston, including winning the 2015 Best of the Best Grocery vote and the prestigious 2014 Al Kessel Outstanding Achievement Award given by Michigan Grocers Association.
Schmidt and employees invite the community to check out all the fresh produce, and finest cut meats at family-owned Neiman’s Market. Also, stop in for lunch at the Corner Caf?, salad from the fresh salad bar or sandwich from the deli, and fresh bagels or goodies from the bakery.
Neiman’s Family Market also supports the community by donating to SCAMP, Lighthouse Emergency Services, Clarkston Foundation and other organizations.
Neiman’s has four locations, including 7121 Dixie Highway at White Lake Road, which opened in July 2013. For employment opportunities, stop at the store and grab an application.
