The Clarkston girls cross country team took care of business on Oct. 20 wrapping up the OAA Division I league title.
Clarkston scored 34 points to take the crown. Adams followed with 68 points. Clarkston was led by Stephanie Morgans? second place and Lyndsay Smith third place finishes. Also scoring for the Wolves were Jenny Morgan (sixth), Kristen Smith (ninth) and Jenna Leach (14th).
‘Our leage meet was probably tougher than our regional will be,? said Clarkston Coach Jamie LaBrosse.
With Regionals on Oct. 29 at Clintonwood Park, LaBrosse wants to get his team ready to defend their state championship.
‘The goal is to get better in every practice. We’re not going to worry about what everyone else is doing,? said LaBrosse.
Jenny Morgan was slowed recently by illness and LaBrosse hopes she, as well as Lisa Sickman, who is battling injury, can make full recoveries; if not by regionals then by the State Finals on Nov. 5.
