Mom unhappy with drug overdose story

Dear editor,
You have done a fine job of victimizing the family and friends of the recently deceased, Jon- Erik Ylvisaker.
We are asking for an apology and retraction for the untruthful article that you printed about my son, Jon- Erik. You made my son out to be a criminal, who intentionally hurt someone. For your information, Jon- Erik knew the people at whom he died. And you have victimized these people by publicizing their location.
And it is also extremely incorrect of you to proclaim the cause of death prior to the results from the medical examiner. And how dare the chief of police warn people of helping others in need.
The content of this article should have been in regards to what a poor job the Lake Orion police departments is doing in protecting their citizens from the murderers that are pushing tainted heroin upon our youth.
How many heroin deaths are going to be allowed before the police department put the blame where it belongs. My son was the best, and my family is proud of him, and we miss him dearly.
We, as a large and loving concerned family, pledge to do our part in prosecuting the provider of the drug that killed our divine precious child.
God bless,
Renee LePage
