Nancy J. Model (nee Lafnear); of Lake Orion, was born to the late Donald and Nellie Lafnear on August 23, 1957 and passed away March 17, 2018. She was 60-years-old. After a long illness of pain and struggling, she is now at peace.
Nancy grew up in Lake Orion, MI and was part of the graduating class of 1974. She enjoyed going to concerts, hunting, arts, crafts, knitting and traveling. Most importantly, she enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
Nancy was the proud “Nana” of eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband James Model; her children Amy, Tanya, Harold, Jamie and Michael; her dear brother Butch (Bettye) Lafnear, and her loving sister Linda (David) Brown. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and her cat Flip.
Nancy will be sorely missed forever. She had a beautiful soul and was full of life.
Rest easy, my beautiful sister. We all love you more than we could ever put into words.
