Mixed bag for Wildcat softball team

The Lady Wildcats Softball team has been a mixed bag of wins and losses as of late.
This ladies kicked off their first double header this week against Farmington Harrison. Oxford took a hard fought 7-6 loss in game one.
‘Autumn Cervantez hit a home run, Cherilyn Banas was two for four, Skye Donaldson and Jessica Palumbo were three for four and Alexis Straub was two for two at the plate,? said Head Coach Lindsey Long.
The girls turned it around in game two to take a 6-4 win.
‘Jessica Palumbo who went two for four at bat, hit a home run in the bottom of the seventh to win the game,? Long said. Autumn Cervantez hit three for four and Alicia Aguilar was one for one.?
The Lady Wildcats took two wins over Troy Athens on May 9. The first win was 10-3, which included 10 hits. ‘Skye Donaldson hit a triple in the seventh inning,? Long said. ‘Cherilyn Banas went three for four, Ally Edgemon went two for three, and Autumn Cervantez went two for four.
The second win was a 7-1 score.
‘Jessica Palumbo went two for four and Ally Edgemon was two for three, along with starting freshman pitcher who also batted two for three,? added Long.
The girls continued to win as they defeated Rochester Adams in two games at home. The first game was 6-2 and the second game was 9-8.
‘Autumn Cervantez was three for four with a home run,? noted Long.
The girls? next game will be home on May 22 against Lake Orion starting at 4:30 p.m.
