‘What the enemies of freedom don’t understand, what they will never grasp, is that America is not weakened by their attack. We are awakened,? said Lake Orion Police Chief Jerry Narsh.
Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, Lake Orion and the country focused their memories nine years back and their minds on the future during the anniversary of the World Trade Center attacks.
Lake Orion’s own first responders stood with hands clasped and eyes down as Narsh and others addressed attendants at the Lake Orion Veterans Memorial.
‘There is no weapon made by man that can extinguish the flames of freedom. The greatest enemy America faces, the only power truly capable of her destruction is our own surrender to apathy, our abandonment of the principals of our republic,? Narsh said.
