Oxford proved once again why it is a wrestling powerhouse in the state after claiming an individual title in the Oakland County Middle School wrestling tournament that was held at Lake Orion High School on Saturday, March 13.
Eighth-grader Wesley Maskill claimed the county championship in the 130-pound weight class.
He dominated his division, winning three of his four matches by pinfall.
Other finalists included Bailey Kammer at 75 lbs., Blake Rehahn at 135 lbs. and Zeb Throne at 145 lbs.
Overall, the Wildcats finished ninth out 21 teams in the tournament.
