The Goodrich Girls Volleyball team played Genessee Christian school and also played Bad Axe. The girls took undefeated Genesee Christian team with a score of 3-0 but lost to Bad Axe High School, 2-1. Rachel Giza was 17 for 17 serving and had 22 digs; Lauren Warner was 21 for 22 serving, with 8 kills and 12 digs. Erica Main gave Goodrich 11 kills and six solo blocks, and Sara Eisinger had 40 assists, 15 for 16 serving, and 7 digs. The team’s league record is 8-3, and overall is 23-19-7.
‘The girls actually mixed things up quite a bit tonight offensively, which was nice to see,? says Robyn Batterbee, Goodrich varsity volleyball coach.
‘As a team, we served at 95 percent. I think our problem was making mistakes at critical times when we needed to change the momentum. Bad Axe definitely maintained the momentum throughout the entire match and we had a difficult time taking control.?
The girls will play in the GAC Red Division League Tournament today at LakeVille High School.
