The Goodrich boys and girls cross country teams swept the field at the Flushing Invitational Sept. 1.
The girls team took the top seven spots at the invite on their way to winning the Division 2 meet with 15 points, while the boys team defeated Mt. Morris for the Division 2 crown with 85 points.
Goodrich’s Janee Jones led all girls runners with a time of 11:11, while Kaitlin O’Mara finished second (11:50) and Kayla O’Mara third (11:58). Rounding out the Martian efforts were Kelsey Krych (fourth, 12:10), Kelsey Meyers (fifth, 12:12), Mary Haidlerer (sixth, 12:35), and Sam Minkler (seventh, 12:47).
Jeremy Phan was the leading Martin boys runner, placing 10th among all competitors with a time of 11:05. Jeremy Gauthier was the only other Martian to place in the top 15, finishing 13th (11:29).
