Marching Band makes history

This will be the first time in LOHS history the marching band will compete in a Grand National Competition.
Last weekend, Nov. 1, the band competed in the M.C.B.A. (Michigan Competing Band Association) State Final Competition at Ford Field in Detroit.
The band came in 2nd place witgh a score of 88.20, beating last year’s state champion, Plymouth Canton. The band also picked up best march, best music and best general effect to be awarded the prestigious ‘Caption? award.
On November 14, the band will compete at the D.O.A. (Bands of America) Grand National Competition in Indianapolis, Indiana.
