The Oxford Varsity boys soccer team lost their first round of district play Monday night against Lahser 3-0.
The Wildcats were ready to play the role of underdog against the #5 ranked team in District II, but couldn’t get anything past the solid team.
Although the Knights scored all three goals in the first half, Oxford didn’t allow them many shots on their goal.
‘It was a terrific season and the squad played some quality soccer throughout,? said coach John Thaler.
The Wildcats end their season at 8-8-2 and 3rd in the Flint Metro League.
