Gloria Rzadko-Henry loves art. She follows art, showcases art and even travels around the world to teach others about art. She is an artist, a teacher, a historian and a speaker.
Graduating from Western Michigan University with a degree in art history education, Henry spent years acquiring her passion. Once she mastered her artistic technique, she went on the road to visit areas around the world.
Henry participates in conventions and conferences to educate art teachers on teaching visually.
‘Teachers need to teach the way children learn, which is visually,? said Henry.
Her latest achievement, The Watergraph Process, is Henry’s well-known trademark, literally.
The Watergraph Process is simple. The artist takes a polaroid photo of an individual; then chooses an art piece, such as the Mona Lisa, and transforms the polaroid photo into a style replica of the art piece.
The transformation is noticeably similar to the art piece, and the steps are simple enough for students. In fact, when Henry travels to different parts of the world, her focus is The Watergraph Process.
‘I created this because art is critical,? said Henry. ‘There is no right or wrong because it is your expression.?
Henry resides in Clarkston with daughters Sarah and Jennifer. She loves the area and is pleased with her participation in the Clarkston area schools.
For her next achievement, Henry is publishing a series of books which will feature The Watergraph Process.
