Library hosts contest for ‘Seasoned Readers?

Summer reading contests aren’t just for the kids anymore.
The Orion Township Public Library will kick-off their new ‘Summer Reading Club for the ‘Seasoned Reader?? on Friday.
The kick-off event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the library.
Entry forms are also available at the Senior Center Library as well as any book that you want to read.
The rules are simple: read as many books as possible and fill in the form after you have read the book.
All participants are then invited to attend an afternoon tea at the end of the contest, on August 22 at 1 p.m. at the senior center. Prizes will be awarded at that time to the first, second and third place readers.
Outreach Services Coordinator Penny Peterson said readers must include three fiction and one non-fiction book amongst their choices, with the rest being ‘reader’s choice.?
‘In addition to reading books, you may substitute up to three audio type books (books on audio cassette, cds or playaway),? she noted. ‘Compete with your children and grandchildren and win some great prizes.?
