Denise Poniatowski and Kimberly Dunahay offer a way to healthy living at Divine Nutrition, 7734 Sashabaw Road.
They serve healthy smoothies and food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Dunahay said.
“Smoothies are just part of it,” said Dunahay, who lives in Waterford. “We offer lots of things for better health and good nutrition.”
“Weight loss challenge, sports nutrition ? health is the underlying issue for everything,” said Poniatowski, Holly resident. “We want to reach the community and raise awareness of good health.”
They have five fulltime and more part-time coaches to teach people good health.
This is the first storefront business for both of them.
“We are our own bosses,” Poniatowski said. “We’re working hard. We believe in our product. We have many stories of people who have changed their lives.”
“We know the integrity of our business,” Dunahay said.
They started with home-based health business, three years ago for Poniatowski and one for Dunahay, both through personal experience with health nutrition..
Poniatowski lost more than 70 pounds in a June 2008 weight challenge.
“I’ve kept it off easily ? it’s a great product,” she said.
Dunahay lost 30 pounds and improved her health, she said.
They opened the storefront to reach more people.
“It was limited before ? this is a better way to serve the community,” Dunahay said.
They joined Clarkston Area Chamber of Commerce. They opened in August, and plan a Grand Opening, 3-8 p.m., Oct. 14. Ribbon cutting is 4 p.m.
“We’ll have healthy snacks and beverages and coaches will be here to answer questions,” Dunahay said.
“It will be a lot of fun,” Poniatowski said.
Hours are 6:30 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5-7 p.m., Monday-Thursday; and 6:30 a.m.-2 p.m., Friday.
